March 1984

Mims Baptist Church voted to begin and sponsor a new church in the Allendale area.
|

July 1984
|
Mims Baptist Church called Bro. Phil Herrington to pastor the new church.
|
|
|
September 1984
|
Bro. Phil Herrington began as full-time pastor.
|
|
|
October 7, 1984
|
The first Bible Study and Service was held in a feed store building located across the street from the current church. In attendance were 51 for Bible Study and 68 for the Services.

|
April 1985
|
Mims Baptist Church guaranteed a loan for a 3.25 acre plot upon which a permanent church was to be built. The land appraised for $120,450 and was purchased for $80,100.

June 1985
|
A mobile unit with five rooms was leased from the Tryon-Evergreen Baptist Association as the church had already out-grown the capacity of the temporary worship center.

|
The new church celebrated her first anniversary. In attendance were 86 for Bible Study and 97 for the Services.

January 1986
|
Preparations for a new permanent church building began. The land was cleared and the timber sold.

March 1986
|
The church approved the construction of a 5,104 square foot church building at a cost of $163,000.

May 23, 1993
|
The church voted to continue as a church. We were no longer a mission sponsored by Mims Baptist Church.

|
November 24, 1997
|
The State of Texas accepted Allendale Baptist Church as a non-profit organization.
